Frost , as predicted!
As I predicted in my previous blog, the dreaded May frost has been.
No visible damage to 21A but several allotments close to mine had potatoes caught last night.
My spuds are now earthed up or fleeced as another frost is forecast tonight.
These things are sent to try us!!

Whats growing
Allotment situation currently:
Potatoes : (Anabelle , Arran Comet , Highland Burgundy Red )- looking healthy,but could be too big to cover up when we get the inevitable end of May frost.- I either planted too early or too shallow.
Spinach : seeds sown 16 April are through.
Parsnips : seeds sown 9 April are through.A lot more promising than last year.
Leeks : (Musselburgh) seeds sown 28 April ,nothing showing.
Carrots : (St Valery) seeds sown 16 April, a few are showing.
